My Trip to Greece!

I am so excited to finally share my trip to Greece with you all! I will be sharing beautiful pictures of each island I visited, along with some recommendations that I have if you decide to travel to Greece!! To start, I’ve been to Europe before, but Greece was always on my bucket list. Not only is every corner picturesque, but the country is also filled with a lot of amazing history. I recently graduated with my Master’s degree, and as a grad present, my mom and I decided to take a girls trip! We hustled our way through the cobble stone streets, and took Ferry rides to each island.

Our first stop…
ATHENS
We arrived in Athens severely jet lagged. BUT that didn’t stop us from grabbing some cocktails, shooting some pictures, and booking an all-day tour for the following day! We saw all of the ancient ruins that Greece has to offer, toured the Acropolis Museum, and even took a tour of the suburbs of Athens (which was EXTREMELY gorgeous). Take a look at our adventures for the day below!

MYKONOS
By far, my favorite island of the whole trip! We arrived in Mykonos greeted by beautiful white buildings, and an abundance of gorgeous flower trees. This island was for sure the most relaxing of the trip. We sat pool side and enjoyed some sun, shopped the streets of Mykonos (which was amazing-see pics), and went to a gorgeous sunset dinner at night.

Finally..
SANTORINI
Ok, so, Santorini is should be called Touristini (lol, bad joke). But seriously, the beautiful island was SWARMING with people at every corner taking photos, and pushing each other to see the sunset. We specifically stayed in the village of Oia, and, I get it, Oia is one of the most popular, beautiful villages in the world, but SHEESH was it overwhelming. I am SO glad my mom and I decided to get an Air BNB for the night in Oia. We got to have our own little home for the night, and enjoyed the beauty all day/night.

Overall, the trip was amazing, and too quick! Some recommendations I have for travelling to Greece:

GOOD SHOES: Make SURE you have good walking shoes on this trip. (I know its every bloggers nightmare to wear a pair of gym shoes when you’re out here trying to get good pics) but throw a pair of cute shoes in your bag, and take care of your feet! Those cobble stone streets don’t play!
FERRY RIDES: Before going on the trip, I was told Ferry rides are notoriously late, and people didn’t recommend them. But they were all WRONG! Ferry rides were extremely convenient. They arrive to the ports on time, and leave in under 6 minutes once everyone is on board. Also, they are half the price of taking a flight between islands.
BOOKING AGENCY: When planning a trip abroad, it can be so time consuming to choose flights, hotels, ferry rides, and hotel transfers, so I used Travel Zoo (not sponsored). It was extremely helpful, and they map our your entire trip for you, also ensuring that you are staying at 4 star hotels.

I want to end this post by giving my mom a special shout out for being the best travel partner! Love you, mom!

Baecay OOTD

Hi Everyone ❤

This past weekend, I went to the cutest bed & breakfast in Lake Geneva! My boyfriend and I took a mini baecay to celebrate our 7 year anniversary! (I know…that’s a hella long time) ;).

Surprise surprise, it ended up raining the whole time we were there. (insert rolling eye emoji). The temperatures dropped as well, so I whipped out my favorite exposed shoulder sweater. I found this gem at Nordstrom Rack for less than $50! I got a size medium, but the sweater runs really big, so I recommend a size down. It’s SUCH a comfortable, light weight sweater. I love wearing it out on the weekends, or around the house with a pair of sweats. Unfortunately, it is sold out online, but it’s definitely in stores!!

I paired this adorable sweater with my new circle suede crossbody bag! Circle bags are all the rage these days, but it’s hard to find a good one within budget. I was able to snag this one for less than $25 at Forever 21. I am so excited to bring it along to Greece with me in a couple of weeks.

I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend! My outfit is linked below 🙂

Happy Sunday, dolls!

The weather in Chicago has been bananas, and I have been forced to whip out my oversized hoodies, and knee highs again! Surprisingly, I’m not too mad about it, lol ;).

I love this oversized hoodie, and I only got the chance to wear it a couple of times. Better yet, it’s now only $20! I’ve paired the look with knee high boots, and with my Fenty Puma sneakers. Perfect to wear out for errands, or brunch. (I love to even wear it at home after a shower!). Also, the lace up detail gives it a little somethin’ extra. Shop the look below.

Whether you’re stuck inside because of the rain, or not, I hope you are all having a cozy Sunday. 🙂

Spring Bags

Hi Everyone!

We are almost half way through the week! YAS!

Now, if you know me, you know I have a TON of purses, I actually have a #purseproblem. While, I love love love designer bags, they are just not realistic to rock everyday, and definitely not realistic to purchase err day. SO that is why I decided to round up my top 5 favorite bags (all under $50) that I recently purchased for the spring!

#1. All White Flat Top Backpack- I know this is technically not a purse, but anything that I can swing around my back and not carry on my arm for my mile walk home from work, I AM ALL FOR.. It looks chic, and carries all of my everyday essentials. Shop this bag here.

#2. OK BYE how cute is this circle bag? This is the perfect spring bag, there is nothing more to say. BUY IT.

#3. You may have seen this bag in my last post, but I love this pop of color clutch! It’s my favorite to pair with any spring outfit! I found it in a sale pile for under $10, but it’s only a tad more expensive online. Shop it here!

#4. I LOVEEEEEEEEE this flower embroidered bag! The deep maroon color is amazing, and I have yet to rock it out on date night! Shop the look here.

#5.  BUCKET BAGS! I actually bought the exact same bag from H&M a few months ago, and I absolutely love how spacious it is. It’s the perfect color for spring, and I love sporting it for a casual weekend day out. Buy the look here.

That sums up my spring bag round up! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Spring Skirt

Happy Sunday!

What a beautiful day it is in Chicago! Tulips and trees are blooming all over the city, and I LOVE IT!  I finally got a chance to whip out my new favorite spring skirt!

This tiered maxi skirt is so comfortable with its stretchy waist band, and the mustard yellow color is the perfect pop for spring. It runs a bit large, so I recommend buying a size down. I paired the skirt with a solid bell sleeve top, and another pop of color clutch. This adorable clutch is under $20 online, and only $6 in store! What a steal!

Also, I fell in love with a solid bell sleeve top from Dillard’s, but it was $80…nobody got time for that. So, I got the equivalent version from Shein (only $20!).

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

P.S.- Go Bulls! Game 4 tonight!

How To: Rock A Monochromatic Look

FullSizeRender_1FullSizeRenderFullSizeRender_3FullSizeRender_2FullSizeRender

mon·o·chro·mat·ic
ˌmänōkrəˈmadik/
adjective
containing or using only one color.

Sporting all of one color can be risky (unless its black). Some great attributes to wearing a monochromatic look come in the form of appearing slim and tall! I’m going to give you 4 things to think about when you  pick out your monochromatic outfit!

  1. Layers: There’s no need to run to the store to buy various pieces that match! layering different items right from your closet will give your monochromatic look different dimension! Personally, I have wider hips so I chose to layer my jumpsuit with a blazer to take away some of the attention from that area. Also, the built in belt helped to add some shape to my waist!
  2. Textures: Another way to give your monochromatic look some pizazz is to pair different textures and patterns together. If you look close enough, you can see that my jump suit has a lined pattern that helped to distinguish my blazer from my jumpsuit. Of course, right in time for spring, I also added in my all red patterned Louis Vuitton bag!
  3. Balance: Wearing one color is tricky. You want to make sure that the color isn’t overwhelming. I decided to pair my outfit with some black heels to offset all of the red. I felt that going with red shoes would be unbalanced and overwhelming. The built in gold belt also helped to add another accent to the look without taking away from the monochromatic vibe I was going for.
  4. Color Scheme: Last but not least, you want to make sure that you choose a color that goes with your skin tone! Red has always popped well on my skin, and I love to incorporate it in many different looks! This look is by far my fave!

I hope some of these tips are helpful!

p.s.- I wish this jumpsuit and blazer were still on the market so I could link them to this post! These old items made for a pretty good new look though 😉

❤ Sab
